From the first wash to the final press, a single robe passes through more than a dozen pairs of hands, and each one checks the fabric against the light before passing it on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why silk feels cool and warm at once<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Silk fibres are made of protein, much like your own hair. They breathe, they regulate temperature and they hold dye with a depth that synthetic fabrics struggle to match. That is why a silk camisole feels cool in summer and still comforting in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caring for it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent<\/li>\n\n<li>Never wring: roll in a towel to remove water<\/li>\n\n<li>Dry flat, away from direct sunlight<\/li>\n\n<li>Steam rather than iron when you can<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Treated well, good silk lasts for years and only gets softer.
